Hey everyone. Apologies again that updates on here are few and far between. We’ve been busy bees sorting out recording and playing gigs etc.

To catch you up:

Album
We are in the process of recording our debut album. As of writing this, the drums and bass are down, some guitars and I’m told Aaron is on his way here to record vocals this very second!

Euro Mini Tour
If you check out the gigs sections of this very page you will see that we are off to Germania in a couple of weeks to rock the fudge out in Hannover. It’s going to be awesome. Hopefully we’ll get some tour videos posted up soon. By “tour videos” I mean Aaron saying funny stuff in different locations across Europe!

This evening we are playing the Joiners in Southampton with a whole heap of not only awesome bands, but awesome people. It’s going to be so much fun. Unfortunately it’s sold out so if you’ve got a ticket well done, if not... You were warned!!

It's been a bit quite over here on the website lately, and for this I apologise. We have been super busy working on getting some songs together to record and release an album later in the year. That's right, the Drawings debut album is underway!
We've got a whole bunch of songs in the pipe line for it that we will whittle down to the best bangers of songs for the record. It'll be awesome.
I'll have a full update on all this as soon as. In the mean time, we are playing the Edge of the Wedge THIS WEDNESDAY!! so make sure you get on down there. Here's the

Anyway we played Ejector Seat Festival a week ago in Southampton which was RAD! It was amazing to actually see something good going on in Southampton. Here’s a review of us from MintSouth which we’re all pretty stoaked on:

As you can see, we've got a new website up and running. It's got all our new sites up above: Twitters, Myspace, Facebook, all the cool gubbins. The Tumblr site is still in the works, but it's gonna be awesome with the amount of info on it.

So last night the March Mailout went out with a new look and lots of news. We are playing in London next Wednesday 31st March at The Fiddler’s Elbow, Camden. Doors are at 8:00 and we will be on stage at 10:20. All you London people, your support is really important to us so please come on down.

So, last night was AMAZING! Thanks so much to everyone who braved the weather to come see us. It was really to play and rad to see everyone out and getting their dance on. Photos from the night should be up soon.
As you can see we've got a couple of new dates on the right in the gigs section. We are stoked to be supporting the rocking Band of Skulls for the 3rd time! It's the 13th Feb at Talking Head in Southamton. I'm telling you now, THIS WILL SELL OUT so make sure you get your tickets early. We have a few for sale and they will be available from Reskue Skate Shop as always so get yourselves down there and pick one up before you can't!
The other gig we have is at the end of Feb at the Hope & Anchor in London. So all you Londonites, we'll see you soon.

Now that the joys and sorrows of xmas are over we can get stuck back into getting shit done, son. We have about 6 pages of plans here at camp Drawings to get ourselves out and about and busy recording in 2010, the start of which is a gig at Hamptons bar on Southampton high street.
It's on the 8th January from 7pm onwards. It only cost 5 bucks so make sure you're there!
There is support from Medison and some more bands tba.

As you can see below we posted an acoustic recording of Wallpaper last week as a start of hopefully lots more videos and live music playings and such in the coming future. Sick To My Heart is next to go up, and hopefully some downloadable mp3s of them will be available as well, so keep an eye out for them.

It's been a bit quite on the Drawings front line recently so I thought I'd let you all know what was going on.
First off, we were meant to be spending a couple of days in a studio in Bournemouth last month, but as most things, it didn't happen! Basically it wasn't finished in time and so it didn't happen, which is a massive shame because we were really looking forward to it and had lots of new things to record!

Secondly the main reason for the silence is that our friends in rock Sonic Boom Six have recently parted ways with their guitarist, and Matt has been asked to fill in for him until they find a permanent replacement. So he's mincing around Europe and the USA for 2 months whilst we sit here and twiddle our thumbs!! Either-way if you get the chance to go see them you should grab it with both hands and have your face melted! Also you'll get to see Matt in trendy Jeans and with with a trendy hair cut! Bangin!

Matt won't be returning untill a few days before Christmas, so after the Xmas break we will be hitting it hard and getting our asses in gear. The first part of said ass getting in gear is that we will be going on a "mini tour" with our brothers in arms, Crazy Arm. It's going to be awesome to get our fine selves on the road, personally I can't wait! This will all take place in the first few weeks of January, so watch this space for more details.

Hopefully Matt will send me some tour blogs and photos from his travels so I'll post them here too.

The Band of Skulls gig at the Joiners is only just over a week away. Tickets are selling fast and they're only 5 bucks so there's no reason not to go. If you've heard BOS's new album you'll know that's worth the ticket price alone, BUT at the Joiners you'll get the added bonus of I See Sparks and our ugly mugs! We have also booked our first gig in the quite hamlet known as London.
It's at the Hope and Anchor in Islington, on Monday 26th October.
All our London peeps please come along and get involved, it will be awesome to see you all. Anyone wanting to go from Southampton let us know at info@wearedrawings.com because if we get enough people together we might get a mini bus and take a bunch of people up.

After a rocky start to Saturdays proceedings, we had a really good show and had a whole bunch of fun at Southsea hanging out with our collective homies. Check out the blamo photos:

We finished the night watching Band of Skulls on the Long Live Rock n' Roll stage who were stupidly good to say the least! If you haven't checked them out yet, where you been? We're are playing with them and our new friends I See Sparks on the 15th October. Get it in your diaries.

This Saturday we are playing Hythe Parish Hall. It's going to amazing! Mainly because me and Matthew grew up in Hythe and spent much of our youth at said hall. If you're in Hythe get yourselves down there, and if you live outside Hythe then it'll fully be worth the trip!

Southsea Fest is tomorrow! If you're not involved get yourselves down there. Word on last year was bangin! so this year is gonna be amazing. We're gonna be playing the Meat Pie stage about 1.20. You can check out the stage times and who else is playing here.
We have been practising and have written a new song that we may premiere on Saturday, so look out for that little bad boy!
We were played on on BBC Radio Wiltshire last night on the introducing show. They played Friends and Sore Thumb but we were practising last night and missed it. Their website is here but i can't seem to find any info on it, and it is not available to listen again. If anyone knows any information on this hock a brother up at ranny@wearedrawings.com
Also we are playing Hythe Parish Hall on Saturday 26th September. This is going to be amazing as myself and Matthew are from the centre of the universe, known simply as Hythe! You have no idea how rad Hythe is do you?
We are in the process of getting our ep on itunes and such download portals, so look out for that in the very near future. Until then you can always visit our store and buy a copy that I will personally post to you. I'm nice like that!

Drawings are playing the Joiners arms this sunday with A Wilhelm Scream this Sunday 6th September. Everyone getting over going back to school/college should come down and rock out. If you're not at school then I'm sure you have 'I didn't even get any time off this summer' blues, in which case I'm sure you've already bought your ticket! We've been busy in the Drawings camp of late. Matthew and Myself went down to our good friend Peter Miles' house at the weekend for "Petestock '09". Photos below.

He is also the mixing our ep for us and we should have it asap from him. We'll have a song up for your listening pleasure when we do.

We're also putting the finishing touches on our launch night, we have a few bands confirmed and we're still waiting on a couple more. If all goes to plan it's going to be amazing! We'll have more info on that very soon, and a few more video blogs, so keep your peepers fixed on here. We'll be needing your help....

Me and Matt have been talking about our e.p. launch night. We want to make it a big night. We want to make some kind of offer or deal where you can get cheap tickets or mates in cheap, or something that is awesome. Either way it'll be fun. Also we have our main support band confirmed but we're keeping in our locker for the time being.

We are playing with the awesome Band of Skull on 11^th July at Hamptons Bar Southampton. Put it in you diaries at get yourselves to Reskue Skate Shop on Bargate Street to buy tickets.

We are currently in the process of recording vocals and backing vocals to The Seven Deadly Sins e.p so whilst the sun is blazing outside we’ll be coped up in Matt’s ‘Media Suite’ trying to hold a tune. Personally can’t wait, I coined the phrase ‘Grunge Fold Five’ earlier. If you don’t get that then you don’t know how to write backing vocals.

As you may or may not know, we have confirmed ourselves an e.p. launch night at Hamptons on the 15^th August. Support bands TBC but your can bet they’ll be amazing. So get your dairies open again and get that one chucked in there.

Hopefully I’ll be bombarding you with videos soon as well. This is subject to everything working. It often doesn’t….

As you can see I've set up a blog for the main site of this page as it would seem to be the easiest way of keeping you updated about the world of Drawings.

We have been trying to get videos up and running for the last forever and it seems we never quite manage it, so I'm gonna start posting them here and you'll only ever have to visit wearedrawings.com to get all the info you'll ever need!
